MOSCOW, RUSSIA / RankWire.AI / – In the first half of 2026, Russia’s non-resource and non-energy exports exceeded $96 billion, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period last year, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. This category encompasses goods beyond Russia’s traditional energy and raw-material exports, as detailed in exports. The latest figures build upon the growth seen in the first six months of the year and offer a broader perspective on Russia’s manufacturing and value-added sales abroad.

Russia non-energy exports rise 8% to over $96 billion
SME exporters contributed $15.9 billion to Russia’s non-resource trade through July 2026.

During the period from January to July, small and midsize enterprises contributed $15.9 billion to the total non-resource and non-energy exports. This accounted for roughly 17% of the total exports in that category. Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov stated that approximately 42,700 small and midsize companies are now engaged in export activities. Additionally, SMEs submitted 1,042 of the 1,341 applications for the 2026 Exporter of the Year awards, with submissions originating from 76 Russian regions across all eight federal districts.

Furthermore, Russia reported industrial non-resource exports of $58.8 billion for January through June 2026, compared to $57.1 billion during the same period in 2025, indicating a growth of about 3% in the industrial sector. Several manufacturing categories experienced increased overseas sales during this timeframe. The first-half data provide a more detailed insight into the industries driving Russia’s broader non-resource and non-energy export figures.

Manufacturing sectors show increased international sales

Exports of chemical products rose by 5.3% in the first half of 2026 compared to the previous year. Shipments of mineral and chemical fertilizers increased by 10.4% over the same period. Metallurgy and precious metals exports experienced a 5% rise, while light industry saw a significant 25% boost. Exports of pharmaceuticals, perfumes, and cosmetics also grew by 11%. These figures relate to industrial products within Russia’s non-resource and non-energy export classification, comparing January through June of 2026 with the same months in 2025.

Russia has set a goal of $155.25 billion for total non-resource and non-energy exports in 2026. Of this, industrial goods comprise $116.95 billion. During 2025, Russia recorded $163.7 billion in this export category, making the 2026 target slightly lower than last year’s total. These targets are part of the International Cooperation and Export national project, which includes manufactured goods, agricultural products, and export support services across the country.

Long-term goals aim for $248.1 billion in exports by 2030

Within the same national project, a target of $248.1 billion has been set for non-resource and non-energy merchandise exports by 2030. This represents a 67% increase from the baseline of 2023 used by the program. Industrial products are projected to account for $192.9 billion of this total. The export support system also emphasizes digital services for companies involved in international trade. Progress is monitored across industrial and agricultural exports, measuring growth against the government’s established nominal targets.

The recent seven-month figures show Russia’s non-resource and non-energy exports exceeding $96 billion, with SMEs responsible for $15.9 billion. Industrial exports in the first half of the year reached $58.8 billion, with gains in chemicals, fertilizers, metals, light industry, and pharmaceutical-related goods. All export figures are expressed in U.S. dollars. The full-year 2026 target remains at $155.25 billion for the broader non-resource category, which includes a separate goal of $116.95 billion for industrial goods.
